Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
Okay, so I got interested about the time when Lance got shot. The rest wasn't badly written; it was a solid beginning. But it seemed kind of... dry. Perhaps that's just the way I am, and I thirst for emotion and drama. But I would consider juicing it up a little.
Nice writing. Continue
Hey there
Second piece of your work I review in one day XD
I enjoyed reading it! It was well-written, and apart from some mistakes there wasn't too much I could find to critique on. Detail, though, is thin in some parts of the story. As is atmosphere. Try to work on this, because it will raise the level of quality of your story!
It was interesting, the whole concept. Is the dad dead? I was wondering, because it sounds like he is.
Its sad that Alana died in vain

PM me for anything
This was really good, great job! It was very suspenseful and kept me reading.
A few things though:
It seems like he's cursing in his mind, I think that it would sound much better if you said something like "Lance cursed under his breath".
Did you mean sad instead of said?
It seems like she just cast it though, not that she had had it cast for a while, you might want to clear that up.
This sentence is a little strange because you say that he's smelling the air and then you say that he can't hear them, it would be better if you had him say something like "I can't smell them anymore, nor can I hear them for that matter".
Before it says that his instincts were screaming at him so it's a little strange to see him shrugging indifferently, because, even if it's just a little bit, we do give in to our instincts. Get rid of the "indifferently" and you should be fine, me-thinks.
Overall: excellent job, I can't wait to read more!
Well, this kept my attention the whole way through. I like it, you've got me wanting to know about what happened to Lance's father and the others he mentioned, as well as who the attacker was. There were just a few mistakes though.
Its stench, not it's stench. In the case of 'it', using an apostrophe always means 'it is'. When you need to indicate possession, i.e. 'the stench belonging to it', you don't put an apostrophe in its.
Two things on this one: firstly, it was a little hard to understand exactly what you meant by this. Was she running into the forest so the enemy could kill her, or would they have the chance to because she was running into the forest, or was she running into the forest because otherwise they would have the chance to kill her? You just need to be a little clearer on that point. The second problem was that you changed tenses here. You've gone from past to present tense. It should say something more along the lines of 'the enemy might have had that chance'. That way it's still uncertain as to what would happen, but it remains in past tense.
Again, just a problem with the apostrophe - you don't need one in 'Faleros'. It either indicates possession or means 'Falero is'. Also, it would be better to refer to them as 'the Falero family' rather than 'the Faleros', it's just a little more formal that way.
Alongside is one word.
You mean 'come of age', or 'be of age'.
I'm guessing you meant to have a 'taught him' in between the dash and the next part of the sentence.
You need a full stop after 'Bad'.
You need a comma or a full stop between 'behind' and 'you'.
You should put a character's thoughts in italics.
Two things here: Firstly, 'creature' needs to be plural, and secondly, you describe the monster as a 'he' and then subsequently call it 'it'. It just looks a bit unprofessional, decide on one or the other.
Firstly, you need a comma in between 'again' and 'but'. Secondly, why the glint of understanding? I've got no problem with it being there, you just need to be clear on why it is there.
You mean 'Lance was pulled from his thoughts once again'.
Again, you switched to present tense here. You need to say: 'that was what put him on edge'.
I'm not sure if you meant he was sniffing for whatever he thought was wrong, or you actually meant that he was sniffing her ankle. If you meant he was sniffing her ankle, why?
You need to change 'eveLancene' to 'even Lance had', and you need to change 'was' to 'were'.
Again, what did you mean by this? Enemies couldn't touch his father, or his father was dead?
You need a comma or a full stop after 'know'.
You need either a comma or a full stop after 'her'.
You've used 'before' twice here, and it looks a little awkward. You could change the second one to 'then', and you also need to put a comma after 'air'.
You need to link these two sentences, i.e. 'seemingly staring at the dying man, though no one could tell'. Secondly, its, not it's. Finally, you should change 'shooter' to 'archer', but that's really more of a personal preference. I just think shooter implies a gun.
That's all I could see there. I can't wait to read what happens next though.
